Description
Nightlife is the word up for the so called "City that never sleeps", the Big Apple; everything's happening here, sung also as a "concrete jungle where dreams are made" most of all lived!
From the Arts and Culture till Food and Nightlife there's no doubt here NY and Manhattan in particular with its thousand lights hold the brilliant spot in the World where all is going on, created, trends pushed forward and more!
The main impression is the very particular one of finding yourself always on a movie set yes indeed. New York is the city of Scorsese and Woody Allen just to mention a few names.
And regarding the glam scene celebrities, for those of you that have the eagle eye for spotting celebs during the Fashion Week, you may well imagine that the above mentioned celebs don't really spare themself from paparazzi so you won't be deluded for sure if you're out to taste that glam scene dazzling in NYC;
The Hot Spot for the glam scene is The Eldrige in Manhattan; it is located in the Lower East Side at 247, Elridge Street and it get livelier as the sun goes down; it's elegant, a lounge bar created and run by one of the most important designers Matt Levine; sit back and sip a fancy cocktail maybe exotic with great music crossing cool glances with Kate Moss, Mariah Carey, Lindsay Lohan, Prince.
The definitive nightlife temple of NYC is the hyper exclusive Les Bains, recently opened run by the guru of hospitality and entertainment Andrè Balasz, the stars' favourite! The club is located at the 18th floor of the Standard Hotel at 848, Washington street. It's in the heart of the Meatpacking district, the coolest of the Big Apple. To get in on the Sunday night party superselective, definetely worth it great music dancing around a scenographic swimmingpool where the eccentric braves like to dive in their gorgeous glam night outfits!
Highly recomended is also for music lovers Le Poisson Rouge that hosted everyone from Miles Davis to Jimi Hendrix: you'll have the experience to enjoy music tying classical to indie-rock, feverish Afropop bands, progressive jazzers and more as the music scene is so alive!
If you want to have a highly enjoyable New York legend night, don't miss the Cafe Carlyle a cabaret spot where you may catch Woody Allen with the Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band on Monday nights. If you're into checking trendy clubs hit the Marquee: you'll have to be well connected to get in. In its thoughtfully designed clubs you'll find plainclothes models boogying to hip-techno remixes so merge in the trend.
