Public Library - Salt Lake City Attractions
The Salt Lake City Public Library is situated in Salt Lake City, Utah, with the system main branch building housed in an architecturally unique structure. The library was housed originally in the Salt Lake City and County Building in 1898, post which, with the aid of donation of land and money by John Quackenbos Packard in 1905, the library was built in downtown Salt Lake City. The building is listed presently on the National Register of Historic Places.
This library is 240,000 square feet, five story tall and is wedge shaped building. With a collection of more than 500,000 books, subscriptions, there are more than 60 newspapers and magazines, other than 163 internet capable computers here.
