The log cabin (14 X 18) had been constructed in the year 1863 by none other than John Gingery. It has been reported that John and Mary Hyatt could beget 10 children; while staying in this cabin. However, the last child was not born over here. Locals also say that this construction was used in the form of the 1st school house within Pymosa Township till the year 1868.
