The Franklin Park Zoo is the main zoological park of Boston.
It was planned by Frederick Law Olmsted who had initially thought of a natural urban reserve, but then it was turned into a zoo.
The Franklin Park Zoo, after more than 100 years of activity, is still very lively. It welcomes roughly one thousand animals of 220 different species and displays particularly interesting, temporary exhibitions.
