U.S. Route 6 North Dartmouth, Massachusetts
Lincoln Park was established by the Union Street Railway Corporation of New Bedford, Massachusetts in 1894. It is located on US Highway 6 in North Dartmouth on the border of Westport, Massachusetts. The park was originally built to increase the weekend ticket sales on its trains. The park was very popular until mid 1980s but a series of unfortunate events led to its decline and was officially closed in 1987. Recently the park ruins have attracted the attention of historical research foundations and have become a tourist attraction.
