The Magic Kingdom theme park is situated at the Walt Disney World Resort. It is the first ever park which is built at the resort and got opened in 1971. The park has an estimation of 17 million visitors in 2008 and makes it the most visited theme park in the world. This park was especially designed by WED Enterprises and its layout and attractions are similar to Disneyland Park in Anaheim in California. Its construction began in 1967 along with the entire Resort after the death of Walt Disney. However, Mr. Walt was very involved in planning this project prior to his death. In 1971, it was the only theme park which opened two hotels on the property, Disney’s Polynesian Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The park attracts millions of visitors each year.
