Bale Grist Mill State Historic Park is a place of water-powered grist mill that was constructed in 1846. It is a social activity center for the settlers of Napa Valley. The park is situated about three miles towards the north of St. Helena. The Mill grounds receive the visitors daily and entry is free. The grainery and gristmill were constructed using Douglas firs, coast redwoods and local materials.
