There are34 islandsof the Boston bay that have been declared National Park Area since 1996. The connections with the city are favourable: the access to this classic naturalistic park is at the end of asubway line (blue line). Here the visitors can embark on-board of a ferryin Long Wharf, and reach the landscape of the islands in just 30 minutes. The civil war pillobox is worth seeing, and collecting berries along the walking paths is worth trying. Just half-an-hour far from Boston you feel like being in a desert area, still admiring thecity skyline at a short distance.
