In the morning, art lovers can't miss the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the most popular attractions in the city; its collection ranges from Ancient Egyptian Vases, Roman Statues, Tiffany's Stained Glass and Rembrandt's painting just to mention a few; you'll be overwhelmed by beauty and mastery of all times and ages!
It will take a pretty good fair share of time to visit; later you might want to walk across Central Park; it plays an important role in New Yorkers' everyday life, there are lovely lakes and open spaces to escape the chaos of the surrounding city!
After lunch a very famous venue to see and admire is Greenwich Village, while wandering the streets, which don't have the formal grid structure typical of NYC, you'll feel somehow to be walking through a small European town. Many streets are dotted nicely with shops. Many of them are independently owned stores, so you might find some particular and lovely original items to buy if you like.
There are many restaurants to discover! Bob Dylan refers to Greenwich Village in many of his songs and many writers of the Beat Generation, such as Allen Ginsberg or Jack Kerouac, used to dwell here!
At night, get an exceptional view of New York from the top of the Empire State Building, to admire a city that never stops! It's located on 34th Street and Fifth Avenue; officially opened on May 1st in 1931, it's one of the city all time icons!
