Bedford Stuyvesant can be described as a neighborhood located in New York’s central part, in Brooklyn. It had been formed in the year 1930. Since ages, it has been serving as cultural center with respect to African-American population of Brooklyn. After construction of A line subway between Bedford and Harlem, i.e. in the year 1936, African Americans went on to leave an extra-crowded Harlem to make more houses available in Bedford Stuyvesant. Major north-south thoroughfare has been Nostrand Avenue.
