Pagedale in Saint Louis
What was once a farmland is now a quaint community near Saint Louis, Missouri called Pagedale. Just 1.2 square miles in sizes and with a population slightly over 3,600 people, Pagedale is a budding neighborhood with a strong history within the state of Missouri. Established in 1950, Pagedale has a history of significant Greek and African American populations. Children living in the town, which is in Saint Louis County, attend schools in the Normandy School District.
Through the efforts of the Pagedale City Council and other groups, the town makes a concerted effort to cultivate a sense of community and growth amongst its citizens. The Pagedale Family Support Center organization is the epicenter of these efforts. This is a resource for families in the area to seek any type of social assistance or guidance, including crisis management that deals with financial and emotional issues. They offer neighborhood events, youth programs, a food pantry and various other services, as well as take strides toward solidifying economic stability in the area. Volunteers from the organizations have helped build and repair almost 100 homes in Pagedale, as well as a new grocery store. These efforts stimulate economic growth and create job opportunities within the area. There is a sense of unwavering unity within this small Missouri community.
