Sandia Peak Ariel Tram is an amazing cable tram that literally climbs from Albuquerque at the base of the Sandia Mountains. Climbing at a descent of more than 10,000 feet, it is the Largest Areal Tram in the world. ou... more travel from the arid desert city of Albuquerque, to the cool alpine wilderness atop the last tip of the Rocky Mountains. Just remember, if you go in winter, take a heavy coat and be prepared for feet of snow. In mid summer, a light sweater should be sufficient.
