Natural History Museum is situated at Vautier Street 29, B-1000 Brussels. It remains open from Tuesday to Friday from 09:30 to 16:45 hrs and from 10:00 to 18:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
The museum prides in showcasing a dinosaur gallery which is the largest in Europe. The models on display consist of iguanodons from Benissart as well as many new dinosaur casts and skeletons.
Interactive displays, on-site geology and paleontology labs for children are the additional features. ‘Of Men and Mammoths’ is another popular section in the museum where one can witness the interesting steps in the evolution of men and also observe the skeleton of the monumental Lier mammoth.
Exhibits of Whales, shells, Insects and north pole are also covered in the museum. In ‘Vivarium’ one can spot numerous little critters. In ‘Mineral Hall’, one gets to experience the assortment of fantastic minerals.
The museum also hosts a number of temporary and touring exhibitions.
