Kelowna can be described as a city standing on ‘Okanagan Lake’, within British Columbia’s ‘Okanagan Valley’, Canada.
The name ‘Kellowna’ has been derived from native term with respect to ‘grizzly bear’. This place ranks 22nd in terms of metropolitan areas located in Canada.
Communities in the vicinity of Kelowna are inclusive of West Kelowna on the western side across ‘Okanagan Lake, Lake County’, and ‘Vernon’ on the northern side; apart from Peachland on the south-western side and, furthermore, Penticton and Summerland on the southern side.
Kelowna enjoys mild temperatures and dry climate. Summers are sunny and hot; with temperatures during the daytime exceeding 95 degree F. During the night, summers remain cool owing to dry environment. Annual precipitation is around 300 millimeters; with 1/3rd of it falling in the form of snow. Bulk falls in December-January.
The population as per 2006 census was 106707.

In the year 2006, it had a novel seating installed within main grandstand.Prospera PlaceProspera Place, previously called ‘Skyreach Place’; can be described as a ‘6886-seat arena’, that too, multi-purpose. It was constructed in the year 1999. Kelowna Rockets Hockey Club lies over here. The ancient ‘Kelowna Memorial Arena’ has been replaced by Prospera palace; even though ‘Kelowna Memorial Arena’ has still been in to use with regards to smaller sports and venues.

Big White ski resort is less than an hours drive, a world famous ski resort, Kelowna is the location where people fly into. Tons of people from Alberta and the coast or interior of BC love to enjoy this city and location.

Overall Guide : Unfriendly people. Actually has all people need but it is the overall unfriendliness that is the reason we will be moving back to Alberta. Everything here is extremely expensive.
