Timmins is situated in the northeastern part of Ontario in Canada.
The first inhabits to this area were nomadic tribes who belong to the period of 7,000 BC. During 1600s, fur traders came to this place and capitalize their business. Later on two companies were established but went into rivalry. This rivalry led them to get fur as soon as possible from the market and which in turn helped them to discover a new route to this place named as Porcupine Trail. The porcupine trail as soon explored and was find gold mines in it.
The town was named after Noah Timmins in the year 1912 after the discovery of Hollinger Gold mines.
The city emerged into industrialization with its natural product that is mining only gold mining and earned huge revenue from it.
With some of the beautiful places of interest this place draws tourists across the globe.
The climate of this place is quite comfortable and can be visited at any time of the year.
The population of this town comes to 42,455 according to 2006 census.

Overall Guide : Great place to go as a kid my family lives there I wish it was less expensive to travel to from the west coast to see family love the fishing and the people there .
Not to be missed family , Kettle Lakes Provincial Park , Cedar Meadows Wildlife Park
