Santiago de Chile is located at 540 meters above sea level, and has a population of about 5 million of people.
The city is located in Chile’s central zone. The Pacific Ocean is located a hundred kilometres away. The Andean Mountain Range can be see from almost anywhere in the city.
Santiago is one of the most popular capital cities in the world, was founded in 1541 and is the oldest city in the country. The city has 100 Km of beaches, and has many restaurants, tourist may also visit the vineyards and try the delicious Chilean wines.
Santiago de Chile is a good place to relax yourselves, and a good place to live: numerous villages located in the countryside around Santiago invite to the peace and tranquillity of countrylife.
It is a good place to enjoy the nightlife, eating out, and many other amusing activities.

Overall Guide : The Parque Metropolitano, is home to Cerro San Cristobal. You can reach it by the funicular, from here you can enjoy a beautiful view over the city. In the park there is also a botanical garden and a zoo. Santiago ... Leggi tutto Centro, (Downtown), this area is good for a stroll down some of its Paseos. The capital’s main plaza is Plaza de Arma, this is the area of major historical importance. We recommend to visit the Cerro Santa Lucia a park with fountains and stairs which at the summit has a great view. Charles Darwin visited this peak at one point in his travels. In the city you can find fresh seafood like mussels, clams with rice. The “Empanadas”, with cheese or meat, are common. The most famous dish is “Pastel de Choclo” a beef and chicken pie topped with a sweet corn mixture. The climate in Santiago is warm with annual average temperature of 15°C (20°C in January), and annual average rainfall of 346 mm.
