The Musee de la Castre strives to promote art. Its collection reflects the interest of 19th century archaeologists, art lovers, ethnographers and antiques collectors too. One can also get to see an impressive collection of the Mediterranean artifacts which are from Greece, Iran, Africa and many such countries. There are also primitive arts from Asia and such countries. This is a must see museum while visiting Cannes.

I will still address this based on my personal opinion. I am not only a cinematographer, I happen to be a visual and Plastic Artist. I am simply mad about museums, because these are places where the spirit of mankind ... Vedi tutto speak for generations unending. Musee de la Castre is a 61 year old museum whose historical Tower, located near the Église Notre Dame d'Esperance dates back to the 12th century. A climb on the historic tower will lead you to an amazing revelation of panoramic views of the Cannes hills. Wow. A good site for Art lovers and ethnographers. When I was small, I learned back in school that it had amazing collections and objects from the Himalayas, Oceana, the Americas, musical instruments from Asia, Africa, the America, and Oceana, a collection of Mediterranean antiquities, paintings of Riviera landscapes and pre-Columbian ceramics. A revisit of my history lessons wets my appetite. How I wish to be there myself.
