The Musée Chagall, also known as the Marc Chagall Biblical Message of Nice, is dedicated to the largest permanent collection of paintings by the Russian artist, including a cycle of 17 large biblical canvas from which the museum was named. The museum was founded in 1972 under the artist's request, who lived in Saint Paul de Vence from 1950 to 1985, year of his death. Today the museum holds concerts and other cultural events.
