Located between the cities of Nice and Cannes, Antibes is an ancient Greek settlement (Antipolis). Antibes overlooks the sea and its main monument is the Grimaldi Castle built on ramparts that rest on the sea.
Picasso lived and worked here for quite some time and donated some of his works to his host city.
Today the castle is home to the Musée Picasso. The works on display combine beautifully with the colors of the sea which is present in every room.
