In Cologne you can try all the national dishes, be they fish, (which is always fresh thanks to good transportation), or meat and vegetables. As well as traditional German dishes, Kartoffelsalat, wienerschnitzel, bratwurst etc., you can count on a wide choice of main courses and salads. Last time I ordered a delicious Cesar salad, topped with a lovely yogurt sauce and served with a variety of breads.
You must try a würstel and sauerkraut with a good German beer.
