The Schokoladenmuseum, the Chocolate Museum of Cologne opened its doors in 1993 and has already become an institution for chocolate lovers around the world.
Cologne is the German capital of chocolate. It is home to Stollwerck, and it was after a very successful exhibition celebrating the 150th anniversary of the famous chocolate manufacturer that the idea of a permanent chocolate museum was born.
The Schokoladenmuseum, which attracts 5 million visitors every year, features an interactive exhibit which takes the audience through films and sensory experiences following the cocoa bean’s journey to the finished and packaged chocolate bar.
