If you’re going to Germany, especially if you find yourself in the area of Cologne and the Rhine Valley, I highly recommend taking a boat trip on the Rhine to Boppard. From here you can take a chair lift up the mountains and once you’re at the top, you can see the Rhine Valley from high up. It's fantastic to see the meanders of the great river from high.
