It is the largest "modern" fortification inserted in the fourteenth century walls of Florence, a masterpiece of military architecture of the Renaissance period. Today it is the main structure of the exhibition center of the city and in summer it becomes the site of festivals and concerts, with a large influx of tourists and Florentines.
