The Fontana Di Trevi, known in English as the Trevi Fountain is easily one on the most famous Fountains in the world. It’s located in Rome, Italy. The Fountain itself is located at the junction of three roads and hence the name. The design and construction of the Trevi fountain took some while, and it was restored to correct all the cracks and dirt in the sculptures and a recirculating pump was fixed too.
The Main sculpture has the form of Oceanus in the centre; Oceanus is the Greek mythological form of World Ocean. The Palazzo Poli forms the backdrop of the fountain. Many tourists come and spend time at the fountain to admire the work of art and just soak in the scene and the bustle that surrounds the fountain. There is an old legend that says if you throw a coin in the the fountain, you will be sure to come back to Rome. It s said the you have to throw the coin with your right hand over you left shoulder.
