The Mercati Generali (wholesale market) of Catania is one of the main gathering places for young people, a meeting point mainly for those who belong to the indie culture.
Due to its considerable dimensions it is not placed in the city centre but slightly out of town, along the trunk road up to the Contrada Jungetto.
There are three internal halls at disposal, whereas outside there is a yard, an even wider space that is used for summer season events.
