HeaderPageTitle-GetPartialViewNoCache = 0,0009768

Sultan Abdul Samad Building is a famous landmark in the Kuala Lumpur City.

This building was designed by the British Architect, A. C. Norman in 1894. This magnificent building served as an important department in the British administration.

This building possesses Moorish architectural styles. Another similar structured building in the city is the Masjid Jamek. Though these two structures possess similar features, they are built in different periods.

The most eye catching feature of the building is the glittery copper dome. There is a 40 meter tall clock tower in the building. The building backdrops the major events in the city, like National Day Parade held on 31st August.

The building looks magnificent, when it is lit up at night. Currently, this structure serves as a handicraft center and Malaysia High and Supreme Court. This is a best place to see some historical structures in Kuala Lumpur.
