Overall Guide : Rawalpindi has some excellent restaurants, museums, clubs and parks as well as some beautiful hill stations such as Murree, Ayubia, Swat and Chitral, which are among the popular ones. The Pakistani Army Museum is an intriguing storehouse of information on the... more colonial army, armoury, weapons and war heroes. Historic war memorabilia is also displayed in the archive. Also, shoppers can delight in the various markets, the most famous ones being the Raja Bazaar and the Saddar Bazaar which offer various economical as well as luxury articles. The Ayub National Park is a renowned recreation centre consisting of a play area for kids, boating activities, an aquarium and an excellent restaurant with fountains and a garden. The Rohtas Fort is a brilliant example of the ancient Muslim architecture which greatly influenced European architecture. Built by Emperor Sher Shah Suri, it serves as a magnificent account of the bygone era.
