The Czartorysky Museum was founded by Princess Izabela Czartoryska in 1796 for preserving the Polish heritage. The museum features historical artifacts from the looted treasures of the Royal Castle, the Wawel Cathedral and other objects. This museum ranks amongst the finest private museums in Europe. Presently, this museum is administered by the Princes Czartoryski Foundation, which was set up in 1991 by Prince Adam Karol.
