Tabuk is the capital city of Tabuk province to the north western part of Saudi Arabia.
The region of Tabuk is stretched from north to Halat Ammar and Bir Bin Hammas; south to Omluj; east to Taima and Markazand west to Red Sea. This military town is also the gateway for the kingdom which is close to the Jordanian Border.
This city has some historical significance that can be seen in the historical landmarks, still present in Tabuk. Some of the historical monuments belong to period of Prophet Mohamed. Earlier Tabuk was also one of the major stops on Hejas Railway which is now located in the region of Lawrence of Arabia fame.
Tabuk has develop at a very fast pace and today has become one of the commercialized cities with super markets, dairy and poultry farms and definitely with a wide variety of wining and dining facilities.

The climate of this place is hot in summers and mild during winters.
The population of this place comes to 441,351 according to 2004 census.

Overall Guide : Tabuk is a small town but rich in history; in fact the train used by Lawrence of Arabia is still there. Cold place specially during winter. I could still remember the sign that winter is coming you will notice there ... Leggi tutto are a lot of flies and when winter comes they disappear. I used to work for Saudi Airlines when i was in Tabuk; my son was born in Whittaker Hospital in Tabuk in 1981. I hope i can see Tabuk again. Tabuk has been a big part of my life; I stayed there for 4 years. I still remember my friends there I was one of the crew who attended King Khaled's aircraft when he visited Tabuk. In totality, I saw the start of the transformation of Tabuk into a modern city.

Overall Guide : Over all its a peaceful small city. life here isnt very cheap as expected. without personal transport roaming around is difficult. Accommodation is expensive. No sight seeing in tabuk city! Wide neat roads and proper parking is a plus. Language ... Leggi tutto is a big issue, need to know arabic or you will feel your self as foolish as nobody will understand you.
