Taif is a city in the province of Mecca in Saudi Arabia and is situated on the slopes of the Al-Sarawat Mountains. Taif, meaning ‘encompassing’, is a major agricultural centre of the country. The city supports a populace of about 550,000 inhabitants and is an important Islamic city.
The city is blessed with a pleasant climate the whole year round, owing to its elevated position. Mild summers and cool winters are the characteristics of the climate. Heavy rainfall is received throughout the city.
Taif has been an agricultural city since its earlier days. All kinds of agricultural crops were produced in this region. Even today, the city thrives on agriculture and tourism.
