In the elegant surroundings of the port of Liverpool, Pier Head is characterized by its large and imposing buildings, the result of a complete renovation of the port in the early twentieth century.
Pier Head consists basically of three buildings: the Royal Liver Building, the Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool Building.
The Royal Liver Building is home to several port offices and has an elegant and solid style. The Cunard Building, in Italian Renaissance style, is partly private and partly public.
The Port of Liverpool Building is also of divided ownership, it’s in Edwardian Baroque style, with a large dome in the center similar to Capitol Hill in Washington.
