Britain’s longest river The Severn, divides and borders Bridgnorth, it has also been named after a bridge on this river.  The river has divided the town into the high town and low town.

The town has a population of 12,216. It is placed along the Severn Valley, in Shropshire.

The fine houses and cottages and the lovely streets, tell the visitors the history of Bridgnorth. The town has had many bad phases, but which have helped in the development of the town.

Bridgnorth has everything for the tourists to explore, castles, caves, a cliff railway and not to forget the memories of the civil war.

Bridgnorth is counted in one of the most extravagant interior town location in England.  When King Charles had visited the town he had specified it as “the finest in his domain”.

Overall rating 8
Overall Guide : The Town is a tourist destination with a cliff railway, narrow streets and steps describing its history which is shown in the museum and street names. There is a variety of shops and eating establishments, pubs and restuarants. On Saturdays... more there is a street market and other street markets around the Christmas period. From the castle walk and park the views over the River Severn are very enjoyable and the ride on the severn Valley Railway travels along the valley.
Not to be missed Cliff railway , Museum , Market
