Overall Guide : I was born and brought up in the town but have lived away for a long time. Clitheroe is still tops in my opinion from the fabulous, caring folk, the shops & market, history & the beautiful surrounding countryside. Good... more schools, well stocked & well run library, excellent health centre & lots of entertainment. Good sporting facilities at Roefield & the cricket & football clubs.
Not to be missed The walks along the river bank & the local hills. , The castle buildings and grounds. , Market & shops
