The first holiday resort of Britain, Scarborough, lies on the North Coast of North Yorkshire, England in the county of Yorkshire.
The old town is barricaded by the rocky headland separating it from the modern town and is 30 to 70 meters above sea level, on limestone cliffs. The borough is spread over a total area of 315.27 square miles. The total population is around 60,000.
The economy is based on manufacturing, tourism, fishing, creative fields and has also seen recent growth in internet and technology.
The culture of this town is a cut above the rest. It has given inspiration to the worlds famous laureates, artists and dramatists. It has been home to Craig White, Mark Richardson and Anne Bronte.
The safe and clean beaches, shopping areas, cliffs, National Parks and majestic monuments are just the right combination for that much awaited holiday. The temperate climate assures you of optimum sunshine all day through and a comfortable stay.
