The first holiday resort of Britain, Scarborough, lies on the North Coast of North Yorkshire, England in the county of Yorkshire.
The old town is barricaded by the rocky headland separating it from the modern town and is 30 to 70 meters above sea level, on limestone cliffs. The borough is spread over a total area of 315.27 square miles. The total population is around 60,000.
The economy is based on manufacturing, tourism, fishing, creative fields and has also seen recent growth in internet and technology.

Overall Guide : Once in Scarborough, a must visit the Norman Castle as it stands out from the pages of history. Saint Mary’s Church is just below the castle and St. Martins church is on the south cliff .The Marine Sanctuary, the Sea... more Life Centre, the Atlantis water park and Kinder land. There are so many options for everyone. Evening entertainment can be anything from the latest movie at the Futurist theatre for complete family entertainment to the works of Alan Aycbourne at the Stephan Joseph Theatre. It also has a lively night life with various pubs, music clubs and leisure and sports centres. One can relax at one of the local coffee shops or visit the upmarket Grand hotel. Just take a trek to enjoy the spell binding beauty of the National Moors. Visit the old houses to travel to bygone eras. Scarborough offers the best package for a short weekend or for long vacations. It suits all age groups from children to the older generations.

Overall Guide : Queen of the Watering Holes, Scarborough is the most beautiful town you could hope to visit. The weather is almost immaterial; the views and the loveliness of the place speak for themselves - even the all-encompassing sea fret adds to... more the charm.
Not to be missed Walk around the Marine Drive , Visit Peasholm Park and watch the Naval Battle , Eat an ice cream from the Harbour Bar on South side
