The Tate Britain art gallery is situated on Millbank in London, England, known as the oldest gallery in the network. Opened in 1897, the gallery houses exclusive collection of J.M.W Turner works. The gallery was known in 1897 as the... more National Gallery of British Art, having changed its name as Tate Gallery, after its founder, Sir Henry Tate.  The collections here include British art collections from 1500 to the present art. There are international modern art collections too, with highlight collections like rich holdings of portraiture from Queen Elizabeth I period, works of William Hogarth, 18th century portraitists Reynolds and Gainsborough and many more.
