Statue of Liberty in New York

New York Monuments and Historic Buildings: Statue of Liberty

HeaderPageTitle-GetPartialViewNoCache = 0,0039068
A view from Battery Park, the southern tip of Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, also known as Liberty Enlightening the World, it looks really small. Only approaching it by boat you can slowly notice it's grandeur. Gift that the French gave to the Americans, it is now a symbol of freedom and a welcome message to all immigrants arriving by sea, it is the first visible image of New York.
