The Lynnhaven House was built in 1725 and is a typical early colonial planter’s house. It has a hall parlor plan with molded ceiling joists. There is also a closed string of Jacobean type of staircase. The furnishings of the museum reflects early 18th century. There is also an aroma and air which the Lynhaven house still breathes when it knew in 1725, when it was soundly constructed.
