Art Deco District is a district located at the southern end of South Beach and it is certainly the most well-known neighborhood of Miami. It is very close to the Ocean Drive and to the Lummus Park Beach. This historic neighborhood looks seems very quiet during the day and lively at night, there are hotels everywere and buildings with the style and colors typical of Art Deco, that's why it is the heart of South Beach.
It is the right neighborhood for every season and for any type of tourist in Miami and everyone should visit this wonderful place. Not to be forgotten is the walking tour, by foot or by bicycle, with a good guide book, for these 3 km of South Miami Beach, villas and palaces, shops and vintage cars. So many other tours are offered, starting from the Art Deco Walking Tour: a walk of about 90 minutes to discover all the buildings in the district. The tour also allows you to get in many hotels to take a look to the interior.
The Art Deco District is also the scene of the Art Deco Weekend, an event that is held every year in Miami in January. This magical district is also the heart of the nightlife of the city: restaurants, nightclubs, hotels, bars, in a very cheerful, noisy and colorful setting.
