Today Punta del Este has a permanent population of 8.000 inhabitants, and receives during the summer more than 150.000 tourists.
Placed at 130 Km. east of Montevideo, capital of the Urugay Republic, covering the coasts of the River Plate and the Atlantic Ocean. Its scenery is predominantly hills.

Each summer Punta del Este, draws rich and famous tourist from Europe and South America. All the Argentinean and Brazilian jet sets, spend their summer there.
Punta del Este has an nternational airport and an exceptional yacht port that in high season hosts more than 500 yacht that come from all over the world.

Overall Guide : Exceptional beauty and great life style in a secure location. Ideal place for family holiday as well as a location to party with the international jet set. Recommend visiting early December prior to the arrival of mass hordes of tourists ... Leggi tutto which normally occur after 20 December. Punta is home to a population of about 100000 permanent residents but during the high season accommodates in excess of 500000 visitors.
