Surrey can be described as one of the Canadian cities located in province of ‘British Columbia, Canada’.
Surrey lies within ‘Metro Vancouver’ district. Moreover, from the geographic point of view, it’s at center of bigger region called ‘Lower mainland’ of British Columbia. The 6 ‘town centers’ which comprise the ‘City of Surrey’ include Whalley/City Center, Fleetwood, South Surrey, Cloverdale, Newton, and Guildford.
The incorporation of Surrey took place in the year 1879. It goes on to encompass the land which was previously occupied by loads of Coast Salish-speaking aborigines. When H J Brewer, an Englishman went on to look across Fraser river; that too, from ‘Westminster’; he noticed a piece of land reminiscent of Surrey County, i.e. his native place (in England). This led to formation of Surrey in Canada.
Surrey’s climate is conventionally inter-coastal Pacific North-west; wet winters, with ‘heavy rainfall’ that lasts in to early spring. Summers are sunny and mild. Autumns are cool.

Overall Guide : Surrey MuseumSurrey Museum goes on to represent fascinating and funny temporary exhibits. Complete schedule of exhibits and fun activities has been planned over here. One can discover a thing called ‘permanent galleries’. A novel craft can be learnt or demonstration... more can be watched in ‘Textile Center’. Visitor can also bring his pre-schooler to socialize. Permanent galleries go on to tell stories of Surrey via historic objects, films, sound, and visuals. ‘New State of the Art’ exhibitions perform the task of exploring Surrey’s development; right from ‘First Peoples’ to ‘settler communities’, businesses, transportation, home life, farming, and logging. Temporary exhibition gallery goes on to showcase 4 changing exhibits every year. A wide range of collections and topics concerned with world, North American, or Canadian heritage are featured.TimingsThis museum remains open from Tuesdays to Thursdays between 1000 and 1800 hrs; and on Fridays and Saturdays between 1000 and 1700 hrs.It should be noted that it has just re-opened on 3rd of February, 2009 after seasonal closure from mid-December to ‘early’ February.
