Overall Guide : Taragarh Fort is one of the most outstanding structures of the city, also know as the ‘Star Fort’. It was constructed in AD 1354 upon a steep hillside. The fort is a major tourist attraction for capturing the marvelous panoramic... more view of the city which is situated at the foot of the Taragarh Fort. The Bundi Palace is located adjacent to the Taragarh Fort and well known for its traditional murals and frescoes (pre-historic paintings on ceilings). Raniji-Ki-Baori is the largest baori found in the city of Bundi. It is about 46 m deep, built in 1699 by Rani Nathavatji. The baori is one of the main attractions in Bundi. The Dabhai Kund (pools) also called as the jail Kund, is the largest of the Kunds in Bundi. It is precisely known for its spectacular carvings on numerous steps leading down to the water level. The Nawal Sagar is an artificial lake which is in the shape of square, lies in the centre of Bundi. A temple devoted to the vedic god Varuna (god of water) lies half submerged in the Nawal Sagar.
