Sarawak is a Malaysian state located towards the north-west of the island of Borneo.
Sarawak is the biggest state in Malaysia and is spread over 37.5 percent land of Malaysia. At present, it is made up of 11 Administrative divisions. This state can be divided into 3 natural regions.
There is a mountainous region along the border with the Murut and Kelabit highlands in the north. Most of the towns and cities are constructed in the hilly region. The coastal region is a flat region with wet environments and swamps.
As per the 2007 census, the population was 2.5 million. This state has about 40 sub-ethnic groups and each of these have a distinctive culture, lifestyle and language. In the larger towns and cities, one mainly finds Chinese, Melanaus and Malays along with a minority of Bidayuhs and Ibans.
There is an equatorial climate in this region and throughout the year it is hot and humid. In the early hours of the morning, the mean daily temperature is 23 degrees Celsius and in the day it rises to 32 degrees Celsius.

Overall Guide : Bako National Park Bako National Park is a coastal park which can be reached by a 25 minutes boat ride in the South China Sea from Kampung Bako. The most important animal is the Proboscis monkeys, which have a long nose. The fee structure for viewing the parks in Sarawak is available with Sarawak Tourism Board or the National Parks and Wildlife Office in Kuching. Mulu National Park The biggest national park in Sarawak is the Mulu National Park. Here, one can view spectacular limestone caves. The longest cave system in South-East Asia which is the Clearwater Cave, the largest natural rock chamber in the world which is the Sarawak Chamber and the world’s largest cave passage which is the Deer Cave can be seen here. It is claimed that this park is home to 281 varieties of butterflies, 74 types of frogs, 8 species of hornbills, 262 varieties of birds, 67 types of mammals, 170 species of Orchids and 1500 types of flowering plants.

S'awak is a multi-racial based state, and yet we're all upholding peace in our beloved state, and no riots have ever occured though we might have different thoughts,religion,cultures and so on. My advise is: If you really wanna see the great works of God,pls come to visit S'awak cuz its gonna take your breath away with its world largest cave and other wonderful things!!

Once one of my favorite places.Sadly spoiled by snatch thieves, break-ins and robberies as well as brutal attacks against citizens in coffee shops - an underlying feeling of suspicion and unease ... Overall Guide : Very interesting, locals are very nice and helpful, lots to do though attractions might not be as plentiful as other places (in Kuching). Don't miss the longhouses, Semmengoh Orong Utans Research Centre, the museuems, Waterfront, Sunset River Cruise, Sarakraf, Sarawak ...
