Agadir is in southwest Morocco. This costal city is located at the foot of the Atlas Mountains and is home to an estimated 200,000 people.
The city enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with an average temperature of 21C in winter and 32C in summer.
During medieval times, there was only a fishing village here; today Agadir is an important commercial port.
Unfortunately, much of the city was destroyed in a horrific earthquake in 1960. As a result Agadir is a completely modern city, with little African old world charm. The people here are a friendly lot and are mostly of Arab-Berber origins.

Overall Guide : I've been twice to Agadir, very beautiful beach, nice locals and clean city, i will come back as soon as possible. Note: Agadir has many attractions and many activities to do, avoid to book with thomsons, first choice, isango, holiday... more services or sahara tours, i had very bad experiences with them and i dont recommend them, if you want to book a tour or excursions don't hesitate to check the local tour companies. Overall Guide : I like Agadir very very much. I would like once or more to visit this country. Its architectural, colour and various designs attract me the most. Not its exterior but interior design also

Overall Guide : Expensive in the coastal and tourist areas, much better value in places such as Talborjt which is still very safe. Daffys restaurant is best value, Kamal Hotel is clean, convenient, close to beach and all town facilities, new bus service... more is excellent, small red taxis all have meters that work so don't let them fool you
