Segovia can be referred to as one of the cities located in Spain. Moreover, it’s the ‘capital’ of Segovia province in Leon and Castile. To be more specific, let it be stated that Segovia lies on the northern side of Madrid. One can reach over here by the bullet train in around 35 minutes (from Madrid). Segovia comprised of Jewish community till compelled expulsion in fifteenth century. Certain traces like Juderia, i.e. the ancient quarter, the ‘old main synagogue’, and a museum are still found.

Segovia is surrounded by Cantabrian, Central, and Iberian mountain ranges. It also shares a common boundary with Portugal. The area on the whole is around 6.942 sq. Km.

As Segovia stands on rocky escarpment situated between Clamores and Eresma Rivers, it has mild summers and cold winters. Summer would prove to be the best period to visit this place.

As such, Segovia has an abundance of tourist attractions. Hence, those planning to combine Segovia visit with some other visit need to think twice.
