Ipswich is a county town in East Anglia, England, located on the edge of the River Orwell. Awarded with the cleanest town award in 2006, the place houses a population of an estimated 150,000 inhabitants. It is the thirty-eighth largest urban area in England and a splendid tourist attraction.
A mild, temperate climate is enjoyed by the town, where summers are warm and winters are pleasant. Strong winds dominate all seasons with dramatic storms being a regular feature. Rainfall is irregular and occurs in short showers.
Earlier known as Gippeswick, the town developed in the Anglo-Saxon times and was an important trade. In recent times, the town has become a major agriculture centre with the famous agricultural manufacturers, the Ransomes Sims and Jefferies Limited situated here.

Overall Guide : The road system created in the 18th century needs considerable up grading,because access and parking facilities for places like the museum are non existant. I would come and visit more often from Aldeburgh if it was easy to find the ... Leggi tutto bus station for example which again needs upgrading , The railway station is handy for London but there needs to be a modern car park and easy access to the platform,The dock area has improved a lot and looks just perfect to live over looking the river so some parts are OK and some a shambles

Overall Guide : I only live here whilst working but I've found it to be a pleasant place to live with both a modern outlook and a historic nature to the surrounding areas.
