Located on the river Tweed, Peebles is a city in the Scottish borders. The place is a home to many people due to its industrial importance, people travel from far-away places in search of earning their living. Historically the city has some oldest buildings like The St. Andrews Church and The Old Parish Church.
Peebles is hardly 45-minutes drive from Edinburgh. Communicating to Peebles is also quite simple as there are hourly buses from the city to Edinburgh and other adjacent areas. The city also has many cycle routes through forests. Bikes can also be hired from Edinburgh to visit the city.
The city has a market at the convergence of eastgate and the northgate roads, the eastgate has a gate which goes to Peebles. The city is exactly parallel to the river Tweed which is at the west of the Parish Church.
Peebles has a population of 8065.

Other church is the Cross Kirk which is also quite ancient. It belonged to the year 1261. The Cross Kirk is the venue for a very famous Local festival.
