Totnes lies in south Devon in the south west of England.
The town has a total population of 8,000 inhabitants as per the 2001 census.
The city experiences a maritime temperate climate and has sunny weather for most of the year. This charming market town has regular, bustling, outdoor markets in the town.
The Elizabethan market held here each Tuesday features several local traders and people going about their daily business dressed in ancient Elizabethan costumes. It is the 2nd oldest borough in the UK and has a number of historic structures dating back to the Norman, Tudor and Medieval times.
The economy of the town prospered due to its export of locally mined tin and wool. This was further boosted due to its advantageous location and the existence of a port.

Reviews Totnes

J Betts
Overall rating 10
Overall Guide : Totnes is Unique - it is probably my most favourite place in all of Torbay - I dislike some of the newer shops that have arrived - boutiques - they do not blend in at all - but understand if... more a shop is empty it needs to be rented out. But the more it is kept the way it should be - totally Unique - the better - everyone I know LOVES Totnes. It can be pricey in some stores - but well that is the same anywhere you go.
Not to be missed The Main Church , The old Fort Ruin , The Vintage Clothing store
