Overall Guide : Great Lakes AquariumGreat Lakes Aquarium is the sole aquarium in US to have focused on ‘freshwater exhibits’. It has been housed in 3-storey building on banks of Lake Superior. Moreover, it has smaller as well as huge satellite tanks which... more have capacity equivalent to 120000 gallons. It needs to be noted that every major exhibit of 5800 sq. m GLA, i.e. Great Lakes Aquarium have been based upon Lake Superior Basin’s actual habitats. ‘Slices’ of Baptism River, St. Louis river, Kakagon Slough, Pictured Rocks National lakeshore, Otter Cove, and Isle Royale can be seen up close.TimingsGreat Lakes Aquarium remains open every single day between 1000 and 1800 hrs. Guests are always wel-come. They are allowed to stay till 1900 hrs.Aerial Lift BridgeAerial bridge had been built with the objective of simplifying the process of commuting from one place to the other. As of now, it also spans a petite canal that was put via a thin but lengthy sand bar called ‘Minnesota Point’.
