North Kingstown is a popular resort which has a number of beaches and a natural harbor. There are also many old buildings and historical sites in this small town with a population of approximately 26,000 inhabitants.
The Quonset Air Museum... more is an aviation attraction which displays a number of aviation and aircraft artifacts. The museum also gives information about Rhode Island’s part in the history of space exploration and aviation.
Smith’s Castle is a country manor house built in 1640 by Richard Smith and was previously used as a trading post.
Peace Dale is a small town near North Kingstown which has a museum of primitive culture and art and displays a number of weapons, tools and utensils from various cultures.
The Green Animals Topiary garden in a place called Portsmouth near North Kingstown has sculptures in animal forms and the garden was built in the year 1872.
