Syracuse is a city in the Onondaga County of the New York state in USA.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 25.6 square miles with a population of 147,306.
Many small neighborhoods surround the city while the Finger Lakes Region lies at the northeast corner.
The Lake effect and nor'easter snow results in constant snowfall with occasional blizzards and Syracuse receives more snow on an average than any other large city in the USA. So far its highest record is 192.1 inches.
The summer months are generally hotter and winters are chilly. Syracuse is located at the intersection of Interstates 81 and 90 and has functioned as a major crossroad station first for Eric canal and presently for the Railway Network.
It also has the largest airport in the region.

Overall Guide : The city has various places of historic importance. Clinton Square is the central place containing of a number of landmark structures. Jazz Fest is also celebrated here which is Northeast's largest free jazz festival. Rosamond Gifford Zoo and Thornden Park ... Leggi tutto are great recreational centers for nature enthusiasts. The Everson Museum of Art displays work of American art and has one of the most extensive pottery collections in the US. Anyone looking for evening entertainment shouldn’t miss the Armory Square which has restaurants, boutiques, galleries, an IMAX theater and nightclubs. Hanover Square district has some of the city’s oldest buildings and the Broadway Theater originated here. Columbus Circle has a monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus and juried art and craft shows are held here. Syracuse also celebrates the Great New York State Fair, which is the oldest continually-operating fair in the nation.
